The 34th Fetish Fair Fleamarket(tm) is almost here (here being Providence, RI), and the hardworking volunteers at NELA who put on the event find ourselves in an odd situation.

The Westin hotel is not sold out yet.

This worries us a lot because we want to take the whole building just for Fleamarket attendees, but that means we have to fill the place up.

We know a lot of people have had problems with the Westin reservations agents (workers who are not associated with NELA and don’t even work at the hotel itself) charging people’s credit cards wrongly, offering the wrong rates (it should be $142/night), and otherwise causing a ruckus. We know some folks have opted to stay in other nearby hotels, which hurts NELA if we don’t sell out the Westin.

I’m happy to report that our host hotel is doing all they can to make things right.

One thing they are offering in an effort to make us happy is some FREE ROOMS.

Every person who has a reservation made at Westin Providence by December 23rd will be entered into a drawing to have their Friday & Saturday nights at the FFF complimentary! Five lucky attendees will win free rooms.

If you already have a reservation at Westin Providence, great! You are automatically entered and we’ll see you in February. If you do not have a reservation yet, you must make it by December 23rd in order to be entered in the drawing!

The NELA programming committee has over 50 classes, demos, discussions, and seminars on the slate for this year (yes, that’s more than ever), and we will again be shoehorning in as many vendors as possible (final # will be between 110 and 150, to be released by Dec 15th, once we fit all the puzzle pieces together). Admission to all classes and vending is still just $20/person, making the FFF the best BDSM/fetish/leather event for tough economic times.

We look forward to seeing you in February whether you sleep at home or the Westin, but if you’re thinking of getting a hotel room, grab it before December 23rd for your chance to have your stay free, courtesy of the hotel!
