Care & Feeding of Your Latex Clothing

First, the disclaimer: this is a not a rubber clothing fitting class; it is a class on the proper care of clothing. We are not responsible for anything that could happen to you or your rubber clothing. Among the topics we will cover: what is latex, the construction of latex clothing, the pros and cons of the three main types of lubricants, what destroys latex. Did you know you should never use corn starch? That you should avoid ultraviolet light? Fat, oil, metal, and leather? How do you wash your latex clothing? We'll tell you, along with how to polish it and store it properly.
Cupping: Suck It up Baby

Bondage Without Knots

If you have ever said "I can't do rope bondage. I am no good with knots," then this class is for you. Come learn how to bind someone without ever having to use even a single knot. Topics covered will include basic wrist ties, harnesses, and positions. Also learn why some of the most common knots are ones that are not very good for bondage.
Decorative Bondage
Presented by Nefarious and Zita
We think rope bondage is great, and even better when it looks beautiful. An intricate decorative tie is impressive, but can be intimidating to attempt. Nefarious demystifies the creation of some classic decorative ties, and teaches the techniques you can adapt to create uniquely beautiful ties of your own. The purpose of this workshop will be to teach pretty rope fashions, ties that are decorative rather than restrictive. We will discuss materials and methods, along with techniques for adapting your decorative tie to a person of any shape or size. This is a hands-on class, so be prepared to work in pairs. In addition, please come equipped with two 10' and two 30' lengths of 1/4" rope (nylon twist or braid is inexpensive and readily available at home improvement stores). We will have a limited quantity available for those to work with who attend without their own rope.
Come In The Back Door

The DeTails of Flogging

This is a great beginner to intermediate class taught by Bo, co-owner of the popular flogger company detailstoys.com and is based on a belief that learning specific types of throws are much less important then getting comfortable with your flogger and yourself. You'll learn techniques to build confidence and accuracy as well as get a good overview on all the various flogger hides and materials which, along with many other factors including types of throws and angles, all come together to make a very unique sensation for the person being flogged. Live demonstrations and important basics like, "where and where not to hit" will round out this fun, laid back but very informative look at flogging.
Domestic Violence and BDSM: NOT What We Do

This presentation is a look at a taboo subject even by our standards. However, it is a subject that needs attention as much in our lifestyle as in the vanilla world. We will discuss the legal definitions, the warning signs, and what to do once the abuse has been recognized.
Getting Off With Ropes (undoing bondage)

So much focus is placed on how to do bondage that not much is said about how to undo it. This class will cover everything that happens once the ropes start coming off. First aid, aftercare, emergency procedures, and quick release knots will all be covered. As a special bonus, information will be given for those who like to squirm their own way out.
Pervertibles: Everyday Items for Kink

Got a hot date and forgot your toys? Only place open is a 24 Hr grocery store? No problem! Want to know why many in the Lifestyle refer to Home Depot by the alternate name, "Dom Depot?" On a budget, and can't afford the high prices of specialty Lifestyle stores or sex shops? No worries! Almost everyone has done it ... picked up an ordinary item or device and used it for kinky sex or BDSM play. Who hasn't used clothespins for clamps or a hairbrush for spanking fun. In this presentation, Half-Ogre plans to discuss the imaginative and inventive world of pervertibles. He will be talking about local sources where you can find items for kinky fun and doing a fun show & tell segment. Many consider Pervertibles as "BDSM on a Budget" or the toys of a "Dollar Store Dom," but you might be surprised how well some items work, with the added feature of not busting your wallet. The focus will be on inventiveness and imagination, rather than cost savings, even though most items cost under ten dollars.
RSI/Disability and Flogging

Being arthritic in the wrists, it became apparent that Lee could no longer use floggers with conventional handles for prolonged periods of time. Many people in our community suffer from Repetitive Strain Injuries like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other weaknesses that make the traditional use of floggers and other favorite toys impossible for us without damaging ourselves. A change of equipment may be in order. For example, swivel handles on a flogger allow the flogger's tails to do the work, rather than the wrist. Swivel handles also allow the versatility of changing tails easily and often for different sensations. Tails of different weights and materials can be interchanged with the handle of choice, providing a full range of stimulation and fun. Safety isn't just for the bottom--tops need to take care of themselves, too!
The Unlikely Servant

This workshop reexamines that assumption, and discusses strategies for converting service liabilities into assets. We will discuss strategies for performing services that do not come easily, utilizing your individual personality in a way that maximizes your capacity to serve, and moving past the experiences and voices of the past to find the servant within.
When There is No Path: Blazing Your Own Trail in the Lifestyle

We believe that it's a very different experience to take a vanilla relationship and twist it by adding BDSM than it is to take a relationship that began Day One as D/s and begin to incorporate vanilla life and everyday demands into it. It's a delicate balancing act no matter who you are, but the challenges and issues are very different depending on where and how you began, even if you ultimately are trying to reach the same goal of a "24/7" M/s or D/s lifestyle. The same things that will seem very normal to two people who began their interaction "vanilla" can cause heartache, disappointment and disruption in the dynamic of two people who began together as Dominant and submissive (and certainly vice versa). This is a discussion workshop, where participants will be encouraged to openly share their own observations on how their original dynamic has impacted their unique journeys in the BDSM lifestyle, whether in past relationships or ones they are in today. The goal for this workshop is to give attendees more awareness of the paradigm shifts and communication skills needed to forge their own way in the Lifestyle and find what works best for their individual relationships, regardless of whether they meet the right person(s) for them on a vanilla basis or in the BDSM community. There may be no easy, well-traveled path before you - but we can help give you the tools, guidance and confidence to blaze your own trail.

She has been active in the public Raleigh-Durham lifestyle community for almost four years and is a certified Demonstrator in the International Violet Wand Guild. Bo has been in the NYC/NJ BDSM scene since the mid 80's. He is the Patriarch of the Sovereign House Leather Family and been a Teacher, Speaker & Advisor with many organizations and events over the years. He is a member of the Board of Directors as well as Novice Group Co-Facilitator for "TES" (The Eulenspiegel Society in NYC) which is the oldest and largest BDSM support group in the USA. Bo lives in the NYC area with his wife/partner in crime Domina Skye, 5 very spoiled cats and his slaves Lady D & Anna. Domino and dee
Domino and dee are your hosts for the Bullwhip Lounge. From tying up his high school cheerleader girlfriend, to having his Dominant spirit awakened by a spankophile, in the early 90's, Domino has pursed his interests in the BDSM lifestyle for almost 30 years. After attending a class taught by Robert Dante, Domino's interest in the single tail was heightened with a particular interest in longer whips for both scene and sport cracking. dee was bitten by the whip bug first as a bottom but after getting her purple signal whip she was soon drawn to the power of topping with it as well. Five years later she's passing along what she has learned to other women who are curious but maybe a bit unsure if the single tail is for them.

Half-Ogre
Half-Ogre is a straight male dominant and Service Top. He is a member of SSCN, CAPEX, Black Rose, and regularly attends TMG events. He has been publicly active in the North Carolina Triangle Area Lifestyle Community for over six years. Holly Rowe
Holly has presented on many topics on sex, sexuality, anatomy, and sexual pleasure. As an educator she does both in-home presentations and has spoken at Bentley College, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and at events like the Fetish Fair Fleamarket in the Boston area. Friendly and approachable, Holly has the answers to your questions about safety, safe sex, proper use of sex toys, and everything you ever wanted to know about your partner's anatomy, whether male or female.
Jack Elfrink (of www.kinkyropes.com) has been active in the BDSM scene since 1997. Since that time he has run informational workshops in St Louis and Pittsburgh helping people learn a simple and pragmatic approach to bondage. He hopes to show people that bondage does not have to be something difficult or complex. Rather, it is something even the worst of butterfingers can enjoy. This is not to say he shies away from complex bondage. A dedicated 'smarty pants' when it comes to knot work, he has extensively studied European, Asian, and Indian knotting. He enjoys technically complex bondage such as ties that can be done with only one hand or without using the ends of the rope. His interest in complex bondage has helped him to invent new knots and tying methods. He is always on the lookout to learn new and creative ways of binding people.
Leathr Lee
Being in the BDSM lifestyle for 27 years, Lee became tired of going into adult book stores and buying cheaply made floggers and whips that would fall apart after very little use. He decided to make my own creations for personal use. After a number of people saw and used my floggers, he was continually asked to create them and the business was born. Created in 1987 and originally known as Sziber Corporation, Leathrworks' name has undergone changes, but Lee's reputation of quality products has never changed. Every product has been quality tested for durability and pleasurability. He not only creates the products, but he uses them!
miss bettie

Nefarious
Nefarious has spent over four years as an active supporter of the Raleigh-Durham and greater NC BDSM community, and has held leadership positions in real-time BDSM organizations. He has distinguished himself as knowledgeable in a variety of subjects and play styles, with particular expertise in bondage techniques and edge play. Rich from Escape Reality
Rich comes to us from the great state of Texas. Between his teaching in the military and his teaching at one of the many local city colleges, Rich has over 15 years of speaking to audiences and hosted the recent "Cocktails in Latex" elegant social in his community. Rich enjoys making parties and getting people to have a good time. Through the process of selling latex clothing he and his wife have seen the need for instruction of how to care for this exciting, yet delicate clothing, and is pleased to present this program.
